Ingredients
1
cup
Greek yoghurt
1/4
cup
cucumber
grated & drained
1
clove
garlic
crushed
1
tablespoon
fresh mint
chopped
1
teaspoon
dried dill
1/2
teaspoon
salt
1/4
teaspoon
pepper
Instructions
Grate the cucumber using a coarse grater. It will be watery, so lightly squeeze out the excess moisture using a clean kitchen towel or paper towel.
In a medium bowl, add the Greek yogurt, cucumber, garlic, dill, mint, salt & pepper. Mix to combine.
For the best flavour, refrigerate the tzatziki sauce for at least 30 minutes before serving. Enjoy your favourite dishes!
Notes
Swap the
herbs:
While mint and dill are the traditional herbs in tzatziki, you can add parsley, cilantro, or basil for a different flavour.
Add feta cheese:
Try adding some crumbled feta cheese.
Add some spice:
Add a pinch of cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes to give your tzatziki a little heat.
Add lemon:
Add some lemon zest and juice for a fresh citrus for extra brightness.
