Sewing Pattern FAQ’s
How does a digital sewing pattern work?
Makyla Creates sewing patterns in PDF format. These files are sent to you as a zip folder. After purchasing a pattern, it’s instantly available to download and save onto your desktop or laptop computer. You will also receive an email with links to download the pattern files.
There are two options for printing: A home printing version – where the patterns can be printed out as tiles onto A4 or Letter size paper. These pages need to be trimmed and assembled using glue or sticky tape. You do not need a special type of printer for this. Or a large format version that can be taken to a copy shop. These are A0 sizes.
You can find information on how to print and assemble the A4/Letter size pattern on the pattern itself. Open the PDF file and follow the instructions on the first page.
I can’t find my pattern files?
After purchasing a pattern, an email with a link to download the pattern will be sent instantly to the email address you provided at checkout. If you can’t see it in your inbox, it may have gone straight to your junk/spam folder.
If you paid using Paypal, the email might have been sent to the address linked to your Paypal account. If you discover afterwards that it’s an email you no longer use, please get in touch with our customer service team – [email protected]
After ordering your pattern, you can also stay on the page, and the files will be ready to download immediately.
If you purchased a pattern before January 2023, please contact me, and I will email the files directly to you. I have changed retail platforms so the links may be broken.
I can’t open the zip folder?
All digital patterns are delivered within a zip folder to save on file space. If you have a newer smartphone like an iPhone 12, you can open the zip folders in the files application. Unfortunately, some smartphones, iPads, and tablets cannot open zip folders, so saving and opening your files on a desktop or laptop is recommended.
